14 people, including women and men, were killed and 15 others were injured in a car bomb explosion on a main road in the outskirts of the city of Manbij in northern Syria. Syrian civil defense officials reported this incident on Monday.
The explosion occurred early in the morning on a road located in a village approximately 20 kilometers from the city of Manbij. The injured were transferred to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
The director of the hospital stated that the cases that arrived varied between serious and critical. Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident to identify the perpetrators of the bombing and those responsible. Several international organizations condemned the explosion and called for the accountability of those responsible.
