Сегодня ночью explosions shook the Syrian coastal province of Tartus, and Syria's air defense responded to an alleged attack carried out by Israeli forces, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The Syrian air defense was activated and managed to intercept at least one incoming "projectile" toward Tartus, while alleged Israeli fighter jets flew near the Syrian coast, the observatory indicated.
On the other hand, the pro-government radio Sham FM reported that the Syrian air defense systems also intercepted an Israeli attack in the skies over Tartus. Questions remain about a possible international implication in this attack, as the city hosts a naval base used by Russian warships.
