The UN announced on Friday a meeting of officials to discuss key steps for restoring support for the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund for Syria.
The official said that the talks aim to monitor developments in the economic crisis in Syria and assess the necessary support for the country that has been suffering from the impacts of the ongoing war for years.
The official stressed the importance of strengthening humanitarian and economic efforts to assist the Syrian people in overcoming current challenges, pointing to the need to work quickly to provide the required support and stimulate economic growth in the afflicted countries.
