It is known that the opposition offensive that toppled the Bashar al-Assad regime a year ago began from the western countryside of Aleppo before reaching Damascus. According to SANA news agency, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met with civilian and military figures in Aleppo province on the anniversary of the city's liberation. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa expressed today his happiness to be among the people of Aleppo, saying: "Today you are writing history with your own hands, O people of Aleppo, all of Syria is looking at you today", describing its people as "the most beautiful people in the world". During his visit to Aleppo on the anniversary of the opposition offensive that toppled the Bashar al-Assad regime a year ago, he confirmed that all possible efforts will be made to rebuild Syria. He stated that rebuilding Aleppo is a solid and essential part of building Syria, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). He described Aleppo as "a beacon for the economy, a beacon for civilization, a beacon for construction and prosperity".
