During his visit to Aleppo on the anniversary of the opposition offensive that toppled the Bashar al-Assad regime a year ago, he confirmed that all possible efforts will be made to rebuild Syria. He stated that rebuilding Aleppo is a solid and essential part of building Syria, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). He described Aleppo as "a beacon for the economy, a beacon for civilization, a beacon for construction and prosperity".
