Syrian Security Forces Deployed in Aleppo

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the deployment of internal security forces in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo. This comes after the Syrian army took control of the district, eliminating armed groups affiliated with the SDF. The operation aims to restore security and stability in the area.


Syrian Security Forces Deployed in Aleppo

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday the deployment of internal security forces in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo city. The ministry stated in a press release: "Units of the internal security forces have begun their deployment in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo city as part of a studied plan aimed at re-establishing security and stability, following the elimination of the armed groups affiliated with the 'SDF' organization by the Syrian Arab Army." It added: "The units have started their tasks of protecting civilians, preserving public and private property, and preventing any violations or manifestations of chaos, in full coordination with the Syrian Arab Army units deployed in the neighborhood." Aleppo Governor Azam al-Gharib reported that the concerned authorities in Aleppo city are monitoring their fieldwork around the clock to secure stability and ensure the return of normal life to the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods, calling on citizens to fully comply with the instructions of the relevant authorities. Gharib confirmed that the curfew in the areas announced by the Operations Command remains in effect until further notices, urging displaced persons "not to head to the mentioned neighborhoods at the current time without prior coordination with the Aleppo Response Committee, to ensure their safety and guarantee their safe return." Earlier, the Syrian Army announced control over the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city this morning after fierce clashes with 'SDF' fighters, thus the Syrian Army now controls all neighborhoods of Aleppo city. In turn, the Syrian Ministry of Health stated in a press release today that the armed groups expelled workers and doctors from Yassin Hospital in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo city and turned it into a military stronghold after they fled before the Syrian Arab Army," and appealed to civilians to stay away from the hospital for their safety.
