Syrian authorities announced the arrest of a high-ranking leader of the terrorist organization ISIS in Damascus. The operation took place in the town of Al-Madamieh near Damascus 'following precise follow-up operations and intense intelligence monitoring'. The commander of internal security in Rif Dimashq province, Brigadier General Ahmad al-Dalati, stated in a statement published by the Ministry of Interior: 'Our specialized units, in cooperation with General Intelligence and international coalition forces, carried out a precise security operation,' which resulted in 'the arrest of the leader of the terrorist organization in Damascus'.
