Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met in Damascus on Tuesday with a delegation from the National Kurdish Council. During the meeting, he reaffirmed the state's commitment to guaranteeing the rights of Kurdish citizens within the constitutional framework. Concurrently, internal security forces entered the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria, having begun their deployment in the city of Hasakah and the al-Shaykh area south of Ain al-Arab (Kobani) in eastern rural Aleppo on Monday. This meeting comes in the context of implementing the recently concluded security and administrative agreement between the government and Kurdish representatives. The Kurdish delegation welcomed Presidential Decree No. 13, considering it an important step to enhance cultural and social rights and preserve Kurdish identity in Syria.
