According to information from Syrian media, former Interior Minister Muhammad Shaar was released by the Syrian authorities through intermediaries.
According to sources, Muhammad Shaar decided to resign when his health began to deteriorate, and he found himself in a difficult situation. The well-known Syrian politician had health issues and needed medical assistance. According to reports, currently Shaar remains under guard in one of the specialized hospitals in Damascus.
It is expected that after his health is restored, Muhammad Shaar will be transferred to a special prison, where other political prisoners are held. Notably, Muhammad Shaar fled Syria in 2013 after the opposition was ousted in the Aleppo province.
