Among the ministers of foreign affairs of Syria, Assad Ash-Shabani announced his participation in the meeting of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague.
At the meeting, he emphasized the importance of all participating countries fulfilling their obligations in accordance with the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Ash-Shabani also noted the necessity of condemning the use of chemical weapons under any circumstances.
The minister also criticized the USA and its allies, accusing them of using misleading information to justify military intervention in other countries. He emphasized that Syria adheres to peaceful goals and rejected such accusations.
