Syria's Foreign Minister Addresses Coastal Cities Issues

Yesterday, on Friday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, Assad Shibani, stated that the events taking place in the neighborhoods of the country are the result of a 'manufactured drama' due to the votes against the regime at the last session of the Human Rights Council.

"This drama, prepared and managed by the day's agenda, which was presented at the last session of the Human Rights Council," he stated.

Al-Sharki and Tartus are known as the stronghold of President Bashar al-Assad and his regime.

"The absurd drama, composed and produced in New York, played a role in these neighborhoods," the minister added, referring to the sharp remarks against the Syrian regime.

It should be noted that critics of Syria call the conflict in this country a civil war and accuse the regime of widespread human rights violations.
