According to information from diplomats, the UN Security Council has approved a statement, in the official wording of which Russia and the USA plan to adopt later today, on Friday. In the northern coastal area of Syria, several days of intense clashes have continued. In a statement, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights reported that seven people in need of assistance are 'dying'.

This agreement was reached after a closed meeting of the Security Council on the issue of Syria on Monday. The UN and Reuters reported that according to the approved statement, the UN Security Council condemns the widespread violence in the northern coastal area of Syria and calls on the transitional authorities of the country to ensure protection for all Syrians, regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliation.

In a statement, the monitoring group stated that more than a thousand people have been killed.
