President Ahmed al-Sharj announced that Damascus is conducting "indirect negotiations" with Israel through intermediaries in order to stabilize the situation. The details of the negotiations and the names of the intermediaries are not disclosed.
Regarding the fact that negotiations are taking place through intermediaries, the president said: "We do not directly communicate with Israeli representatives, but I will not name the intermediaries right now."
Earlier, Israel noted that the Syrian civil conflict does not hinder the work of negotiations between Israel and Syria.
