Kurdish Forces Accuse Damascus of Killing Civilians in Northern Syria

On Monday, Kurdish forces accused Damascus of killing five civilians from one family in northern Syria, despite a ceasefire in effect between the parties. Meanwhile, Russian forces began a gradual withdrawal from Qamishli Airport in northeastern Syria towards their military bases in Latakia province. In a statement, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) accused 'Damascus factions' of escalating despite the ceasefire, pointing to a 'massacre... that resulted in the martyrdom of five people and the injury of five others' from one family in the village of Kharab Ashk on the outskirts of Kobani in the far north of Aleppo province. The SDF added that clashes continue in the village of Safa south of Jal Agha, where Syrian government forces advanced yesterday and shelled them.
