On Sunday, the Ministry of Defense of Syria announced that fighters from the Lebanese party 'Hezbollah' crossed the border into the rural area of Homs and killed three Syrian servicemen.
"The Ministry of Defense reported that a group of armed fighters from 'Hezbollah' crossed the border in the Homs region and launched an attack on Syrian military positions, which resulted in the deaths of three servicemen," the statement said.
This incident occurred despite attempts by the Bashar al-Assad regime to control the border with Lebanon, aiming to prevent the movement of fighters and the smuggling of weapons.
