The Syrian Red Crescent announced that its volunteer teams assisted about 200 people during the celebrations of the first anniversary of liberation in the capital Damascus yesterday. Sources explained that most injuries were caused by suffocation, loss of consciousness, and low blood pressure, influenced by feelings of joy and elation, and as a result of severe overcrowding. The Red Crescent also stated, according to official Syrian media, that 5 cases were transferred to hospitals to continue medical care, while the rest of the injured received first aid at the celebration sites.
