On Tuesday, according to the Syrian state news agency SANA, it was reported from a military source that Israeli airstrikes were carried out on the outskirts of Damascus and a military base near the city of Homs. The attacks occurred early in the morning on Thursday. As a result, one soldier was killed, and seven others were injured.
"Israeli aviation carried out strikes using rockets from the air over northern and central Syria. Our air defense forces intercepted the majority of the enemy rockets," the agency relayed the words of a military source.
Israel has officially not commented on the attacks. Recently, the Israeli army has been conducting attacks on alleged Iranian targets in the territory of Syria.
